Our Junior High Mission Trip is an opportunity for our younger students to have a summer mission experience. Our goal is that this trip will work as a feeder program for our annual Mystery Mission Trip. We will expose our youth to a number of mission experiences and our hope is that they will not only develop a love for mission work but may possibly build self-esteem as they see the fruits of their hard labor. We will be help with all sorts of projects like painting, yard work, gardening, minor home repair, and other needed tasks. It is open to all youth who have completed the 6th-8th grades. We have fun activities planned for our evenings along with a time of praise and worship.
The safety of students is a top priority for us. This trip will be physically demanding on them, and for that reason we will take precautions at the work site. Youth will be given periodic breaks in order to rest and refresh. There will be water at each work site as well as a first aid kit. We will also encourage youth to wear sunscreen when necessary. It is important for parents to let us know about any work-related limitations their child has. We want this to be a safe, fun, and rewarding experience for all students.
Parents of those going on the trip will need to attend a special Parents’ Meeting on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 1:15pm. There will be a notary present to sign all forms for the trip.
We trust that you will prayerfully consider joining us as we serve Christ together.
