Trips and Retreats

DISCOVERY is a youth weekend for spiritual formation where our students experience God’s love, the joy and forgiveness of Christ, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The weekend is for students in grades 6-8. High school students attend as well and are asked to be leaders for the weekend. DISCOVERY is held at the church and features worship, youth sermons, games, small groups, food, and so much more.

2019 Dates: February 8-10, 2019

Our annual trip away to relax, get away, spend time in fellowship with each other, have fun, play, and most importantly grow in our relationship with Jesus. We have an engaging speaker and a theme to help us focus on a particular aspect of our walk with Christ.

Register forFALL RETREAT

Our Biennial retreat that where we discuss God’s good gift of sexuality. We start with a recap of what was covered in the Junior High Retreat (to refresh your memory or for those who didn’t attend), and then we dive into issues that students are likely to face during their high school years and beyond.

The MYSTERY MISSION TRIP is for students who have completed grades 9-12. It is a week-long work trip with an undisclosed location. Students are told what to pack and what type of work to expect. Parents are given a disclosure packet with details after the group leaves for the trip. All destinations are within the continental United States.

2019 Dates: June 7-15, 2019

Our Biennial retreat that where we learn about God’s gift of sexuality. This retreat is based upon the premise that our sexuality is a good gift, a powerful gift, and a valuable gift. As such, we believe that sexual intimacy has a special place within the bonds of a loving, committed marriage between a man and a woman.

The JUNIOR HIGH MISSION TRIP is our mission opportunity for students who have completed grades 6-8. It is a introduction into our mission program and gives students a chance to experience what serving others is all about. Our trips typically run 4-5 days and our destinations are within 6 hours of Hartselle.

2019 Dates: May 29-June 2, 2019
